Cricket Match Dispute; The young man was killed

In a cricket match held in the Bisrakh area of Greater Noida on Sunday morning, a dispute between two groups escalated, leading to the tragic demise of a youth. The victim, identified as Sumit Singh (24) from Meerut, attempted to escape the altercation but was pursued by a group, who, despite his efforts to seek refuge, eventually caught up with him. Sumit, who had suffered head injuries during the chase, succumbed to the incident at the scene itself.

Following the incident, the Bisrakh police station in Greater Noida registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code for culpable homicide. The police arrested six individuals, identified as Tinku (20), Himanshu (22), Ajay Singh (22), Ashu (22), and Hritik (21), on charges related to the murder. The arrests were made after thorough investigation and gathering evidence related to the criminal act.

It is noteworthy that Sumit’s family had recently relocated to Greater Noida for employment opportunities, and the unfortunate incident occurred just six months after their relocation to the area.
